Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses TryTTS. Our goal is a service for legitimate voiceover, dubbing, accessibility, and creative work — not for deception or harm. If you break this AUP we may remove content, and suspend or terminate your account.

Consent comes first

You may create or clone a voice only when one of these is true: it is your own voice; you have the explicit, informed, and documented consent of the person whose voice it is; or you are otherwise legally entitled to use that voice (for example, a properly licensed voice). Before you upload a reference sample, you must confirm that you hold this right. We may ask you to evidence consent, and we may decline or remove any voice.

Prohibited uses

You must not use the Service to:

• impersonate a real person, brand, or organization without their consent, or clone a voice without the right to do so;
• create deceptive "deepfakes" — audio presented as a real person's genuine words when it is not;
• commit or facilitate fraud, scams, phishing or "vishing", social engineering, or impersonation of officials;
• defeat or attempt to defeat voice authentication or biometric security;
• produce election, political, or public-health disinformation, or falsely attribute statements to public figures;
• harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence or hatred against any person or group;
• create sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance) or non-consensual sexual or intimate content;
• infringe intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy rights;
• send spam or bulk unsolicited messaging, or distribute malware;
• generate content that is otherwise unlawful where you or your audience are located.

Age

This Service is intended for users aged 18 and over, or the age of majority where you live.

Disclosure

Audio from the Service is AI-generated. Where you publish or share it, you are responsible for any AI disclosure the law or the relevant platform requires. We encourage clear labelling of synthetic media.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. Depending on severity we may limit, suspend, or terminate access, remove voices or content, and withhold refunds for accounts terminated for a breach. Serious abuse may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Changes

We may update this AUP; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
